Dr. Lisa Merritt

“I went to high school with Dr. Merritt’s daughters and have been a friend of the family for years.  I was in a car accident when I was 16 years old and it was an easy decision to go see Dr. Merritt when I was in pain.  When I first started visiting, I was seeing Dr. Merritt three times a week.  Now, I visit once a week to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  Not only am I a chiropractic patient, but I see Dr. Merritt for nutritional advice and acupuncture, and visit with her massage therapist too.  Under the purification program, I lost 25 pounds, learned how to eat healthier, and now keep a plethora of vitamins in my house!  The treatment has really improved my lifestyle too. 

I play golf, tennis, love to travel… I’ve even got a personal trainer. 

I remember the first time I got acupuncture from Dr. Merritt, it felt great, really an overall calming sensation.  Weddington Chiropractic has so many different programs and after 14 years of being a patient, I’m even looking forward to the yoga class too!!”

WHEN WE MOVED TO WAXHAW A YEAR AND A HALF AGO WE NEEDED TO FIND A CHIROPRACTOR. WE BOTH HAVE BACK PAIN THAT POPS UP FROM TIME TO TIME AND CHIROPRACTIC CARE HAS ALWAYS HELPED.

WE COME IN TO SEE DR MERRITT ABOUT ONCE A WEEK (OR MORE OFTEN IF PROBLEMS ARISE). WE LEAD AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE, SO SEEING DR. MERRITT REGULARLY HELPS US MAINTAIN THAT LIFESTYLE.

Was your condition resolved?

ERIN HASN’T HAD BACK PAIN IN MONTHS. MIKE’S ISSUE CONTINUES TO FLARE UP, BUT WITH IMMEDIATE AND FREQUENT VISITS TO DR.MERRITT, IT RESOLVES MUCH MORE QUICKLY.

WE HAVE SEEN THE EXERCISE SPECIALIST. WE ARE BOTH TRAINING FOR A TRIATHLON AND THE EXERCISES PROVIDED TO USE HAVE HELPED OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS. WE HAVE ALSO WORKED WITH ERIN, SHE HAS BEEN GREAT BENEFIT TO MIKE. HER TREATMENTS REALLY HELP TO RELEASE THE TENSION IN MIKE’S MUSCLES.

Tell us a little about yourself –hobbies, interests, family, background, etc.

WE HAVE 3 CHILDREN-MICHAEL (AGE 7), AIDEN (AGE 5) AND JAMES (AGE 3). WE LOVE BEING ACTIVE WITH OUR CHILDREN-BASEBALL, BASKETBALL, SOCCER, SWIMMING, BIKING AND PLAYING GOLF. WHEN WE CAN FIND A SITTER, WE ALSO LOVE A GOOD MOVIE!

Dr. Merritt has really taken the time to care for us and learn about us, and how she can help us achieve optimum health. She listens to us and tries to find the underlying causes for some of our complaints. She really believes that everything should be in balance in order for you to feel your best and is always asking us questions and making recommendations for how we can achieve that balance. There have been times when we have needed immediate care, and she always finds a way to fit us in (normally on the same day). We really feel comfortable and welcome at Weddington Chiropractic. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. On many occasions our children have had to come along to appointments and they are always welcome in the office, which is very helpful (especially to Erin). We always recommend Weddington Chiropractic to our friends!
